Good day, magical ones! Time for some updates during the lovely springtime weather we’re having 🙂

“Henshin Yo!”

  1. We got some new MERCHANDISE of the girls! There is now a second set of BUTTONS to check out, and there are also BATH PRODUCTS based on Galactic Purple! There are also two new prints you can pick up in the PRINT section ^__^
  2. The CONVENTION SCHEDULE has been updated with more appearances I’ll be making this year! This includes book events and book readings as well!
  3. There are new videos in the WatchMojo and MsMojo sections for you to enjoy 🙂
  4. There’s also two new articles up in the Twin Cities Geek section. One is a review on the new Power Rangers movie, and the other is a creator’s perspective on the lack of diversity in pop culture.

That’s all for now! Take care, magical ones <3 <3 <3

Cupcake Bath Bombs!

We’ll be spending the last weekend of April down in Austin, TX! Be sure to stop by and say hi! We’ll have all kinds of magical girl merchandise and will be taking pre-orders on the book AND bath products!

Also, stay tuned for some fun updates after the convention since we’ll have a small break before the next round of cons!

There are a LOT of things to update and we’re gonna knock them all out RIGHT NOW! Hold on to your magical booties!

  1. The Interviews & Features section has been updated, as we were recently featured on AFROPUNK! If anyone is ever interested in interviewing me or featuring the girls on their site, don’t hesitate to let me know! You can email me at brichibi@yahoo.com!
  2. There are some updates to the Magic on the Side section! While there are four main ladies in the series, there are plenty of fun side characters to get attached to. There’s some art to check out and new characters added 🙂
  3. The Comic section has been updated with a new short story about crushes, responsibilities, and how to balance it all when you’re a magical girl who has to save the world… and go to school.
  4. There are new wallpapers in the Wallpaper section, so feel free to make your desktop background MAGICAL!
  5. So. Many. MERCHANDISE. Updates!!! Not only are we taking preorders on the FIRST BOOK, but there are NEW PRINTS to check out and a brand new section: COLORING PAGES!!!
  6. There has been a LOT of fan love for the series lately. While I haven’t been able to get as many pictures as I want at conventions, I have seen more FANART of the ladies, and also, something AMAZING happened at Shuto Con: there was FULL COSPLAY for Prism Pink 🙂
  7. Before convention season hit full force, some new WATCHMOJO and MsMojo videos were published that I wrote the scripts for, so check them out!
  8. The Indiegogo Thank You Page is up! I am so thankful to everyone who contributed to the campaign. I hope I do all of you proud with this book release!

Whew! That’s all the updates for now! Stay tuned for more as there’s more conventions coming up, more art coming in, more book progress to be made, and plenty of magic to be had!

We JUST got back from Naka-Kon, only to turn around and head to Michigan for Shuto! Here’s where we’ll be this weekend 🙂

Once we get back I’ll be updating the website with NEW ITEMS, more WatchMojo work, the thank you page from the Indiegogo, and MORE!

Take care, magical ones <3

Good morning, magical ones. The campaign is over, and I’m happy to say that we have exceeded my expectations more than I could ever imagine. I woke up this morning to almost 8K in funds and the campaign reaching 158% of the initial goal.

THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!

So… what happens now?

First, I want to let you know all the ways you can keep up with the series now that this event is drawing to a close. We have:

1. Magnifique Noir on Facebook. Give it a like!
2. The mailing list! You can sign up and get updates about the series and new products: http://eepurl.com/cgwG2H
3. This website 🙂
4. My Twitter (@BrichibiTweets)
5. My Tumblr (http://brichibi.tumblr.com/)

Second, there are still ways to contribute to the growth of this project. The campaign is now “InDemand” which means that you can still donate and/or pledge tiers. This works really well if you wanted a more expensive tier but couldn’t afford it (ie: magical girl care packages, ect.), especially since those bundles will only be available through the campaign. However, if you just want a copy of the book, you will be able to pre-order it through my Etsy page soon! You’ll also be able to pre-order the first wave of bath products for the girls. If you contributed to the campaign, you will be getting a coupon to use via email. If I sell out of the first wave, I’ll talk to the woman I’m working with to see if I can get a second wave going.

Third, any other items like prints, buttons, ect. that were offered in the campaign will be available on my Etsy page. It’ll just take some time to update it. I’ll also have some things available at the conventions I’m going to, and you can place orders through me there. I have an updated list of where I’ll be HERE!

Fourth, if you contributed to the campaign, I will be emailing the coloring page to you this week! I’ll also be making the thank you page on the website this week, too. If you don’t want your name listed (or want to use an alias) please let me know! (I’ll bring it up in the email, too).

Fifth, I will be emailing people who just donated to campaign to make sure they didn’t want anything. I had a few people hit “donate” by mistake when they meant to select a tier. If that ends up being the case, we’ll work something out so you can get the tier you want.

Last, but not least, I want to say thank you to ALL OF YOU for believing in this project so much! I never imagined that it would make it this far, and I can’t wait to release it and show the world how magical black, queer girls are.

Thank you, and don’t forget: you are magical

So what happens now?

Well… WE KEEP GOING!

You can still keep pledging as the campaign has a little over a week left before it’s over (so if you missed out, don’t worry, there’s still time!). Any extra money that is accumulated will go toward MORE MAGICAL GIRL STUFF! More art. More products. Fully colored images inside the book. Any and ALL of that can be a possibility depending on how much is earned from now until the end of the campaign.

I really want to thank all of you for supporting this creation of mine. It means a lot to see so many people believing in these girls. I’m excited to present the book to all of you, have it at conventions, and essentially spread the queer black girl magic!

Don’t forget: you are magical!

Campaign link is HERE!

Good morning, magical ones! We are at 31% of the funding! That is INCREDIBLE! Thank you SO MUCH for all of the support early on in this campaign! Remember to use #magnifiqueNOIR when talking about it on social media. Also, remember that you can keep track of what’s happening up to date with the event page, and the campaign itself is HERE!

Also, check out these updates:

  1. The CONVENTION SCHEDULE has been updated with another show I’ll be appearing at: Naka-Kon!!! I will most definitely have some magical girl merchandise and will be doing panels about cosplay bullying, diversity, representation, and loving yourself. I’ll update with times and table location as soon as I get the details.
  2. The OTHER MAGICAL WORKS section has been updated with more jobs from WatchMojo.com and MsMojo that I wrote the scripts for.

That’s all, and don’t forget: you are magical!
